Objektas Tado Vrublevskio rankraščių kolekcijos(2004) Labanauskienė, DanutėA notable Vilnius' lawyer and bibliophile T. Wróblewski (1858-1925) - the founder of Vilnius E. and E. Wroblewskies's library. He also famous for his manuscript collections. In 1912 the society of „The Wróblewskies' library friends" and some wellknown Vilnius cultural personalities helped him a great deal to find and collect documents of Lithuanian domains from various estates. All his life T. Wróblewski had been collecting and buying archival documents, valuable autographs and precious manuscripts. This article deals with 4 manuscript collections, founded and described by T. Wróblewski himself. These collections were classified in such funds as „The Fund of cases pleaded by T. Wróblewski" (F 155); „Court statements" (F 20); „Autographs' collection" (F 7) and the greater part of „General Fund" (F 9). All these collections as the others ones are stored in the Manuscript Department of the Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Science and are important to now.Objektas Lietuviškos spaudos draudimo ženklai nacionalinėje bibliografijoje(2006) Debesienė, ValerijaThe article surveys the Lithuanian periodicals of the Lithuanian press ban period, published in so called Little Lithuania (Prussia) and USA. From journals and newspaper articles for the period of 1893–1903 we learn about the dissemination and reading of Lithuanian press by Lithuanians living both in Lithuania and abroad, as well as about the struggle for other political and economic rights.Objektas Objektas Kovotojų dėl kultūros enciklopedija(2006) Ledas, IpolitasRecenzuojama knyga: Kaluškevičius B., Misius K. The development of an electronic catalogue, which would allow the readers to find an information about a document and order it online, was started in 1997. The project Parchments’ Digital Images Archive preserved in the Manuscript Department of the Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences (October 2002–November 2003), sponsored by UNESCO „World Memory“ programme, is our first attempt to implement a digital image archive. The project is presented at www.pergamentai.lt. The implementation of another digital project in the Manuscript Department – ECH:TOPICC – Endangered Cultural Heritage: Tools for Preservation, Investigation and Copyright Clearance, was started in May 2003. The aim of this project is to create the software for the management of multimedia data (text, images and sounds) and intellectual property rights as well as for the interactive internet-based presentation of results. The old musical manuscripts (XIV–XVIII centuries) of various genres are presented on the website www.musicalia.lt.Objektas Vandeniui neatsparių įrašų bei antspaudų išsaugojimas(2006) Giedraitienė, BirutėThe article briefly surveys the history of ink and dyestuff which were used and are being used up till now in the manuscripts. The oldest and the most resistant ink (Tas it was proved with time) to the influence of time and environment was produced using soot of various origin. Later the ink has been made on the basis of gallic acid. The synthetic dyes were started to be used at the end of 19th century. They satisfied the requirements of consumers in obtaining ink of various colours but preserving, using and restoring the documents with such sort of ink, the problems appeared with conservation. The tests were carried out with three samples of contemporary ink in order to fix and preserve these samples by various means.Objektas Lietuvos mokslų akademijos bibliotekos 2003-2004 m. darbo ataskaita(2006) Marcinkevičius, Juozas; Kairelienė, LeokadijaObjektas Baltijos šalių mokslo studija(2006) Railienė, BirutėRecenzuojama knyga: Baltic R&D systems in transition / Janis Kristapsons, Helle Martinson, Ina Dagytė. – Rīga : Zinātne, 2003. – XVI, 203, [1] p. : iliustr. – Bibliogr.: p. 187–199 (186 pavad.). – ISBN 9984-698-98-X.Objektas Atestacija – darbuotojų skatinimo priemonė(2006) Fedorovskytė, JelenaOn 21 September 2004 in Byelorussia (Minsk) in the international scientific conference „The activity problems of scientific libraries: the traditions and development perspectives“ the report „The certification – one of means of workers’ stimulation“ has been presented. The goal of this report was to continue the research concerning the questions of librarians’ certification, to examine more extensively and evaluate the necessity of librarians’ certification in Lithuania comparing with the experience of teachers or medical workers and referring to it. After performing the examination and analysis the teachers’ and medical workers’ experience in the sphere of certification there has been stated that the goal of certification is not considered as means of control, but the stimulation to improve as well as the verification of a worker’s suitability to his or her position. The experience of teachers and medical workers showed that the cause of the problems is not certification itself, but the disorder in organizing it. Nevertheless, there cannot be stated that the certification would help to evaluate the librarian’s work objectively – this is the question without exact answer. This experiment revealed that the certification is needed, but most people would not like the certification to be obligatory. The general opinion is following: the certified worker would have to receive the higher salary.Objektas Poetų krašto dukra : [apie Danutę Sklėriūtę](2006) Kairelienė, LeokadijaObjektas Jono Radvano „Radviliada“ anuo metu ir dabar(2006) Narbutas, SigitasThe article discusses the heroic poem „Radivilias“, written in Latin by Jonas Radvanas (lived in the second half of the XVI century). This piece was published in Vilnius in 1592 together with some other poetic and prozaic texts. The only copy of this publication in Lithuania is kept in the Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences. The plot of this multilayered and polysemous heroic poem revolves around the life story of Mikalojus Radvila the Red (1512–1584), duke of Biržai and Dubingiai, who was the great hetman of Lithuania and voivode of Vilnius too. The poem recounts the important victories, achieved by the Lithuanian army against Moscow during the Livonian war (1558–1582). The protagonist, Radvila the Red, is an idealized character. He is depicted as a Lithuanian warrior, defending fatherland at a crucial historical moment. Here fatherland means the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, created in olden times by its most eminent ruler Vytautas the Great. In the poem Vytautas inspires Radvila to heroic deeds before the fateful battle. (It is of interest that Poland is mentioned neither as a political, nor military ally.) The setting has all main locus amoenus characteristics; it is a country of venerable historical traditions, which is richly endowed by nature resourses and populated by heroes. At the end of the poem its future is linked to the protagonist‘s son Kristupas Radvila (1547–1603), who at the time of the poem’s appearance was the most influential political, cultural and social figure in Lithuania. After the change of political, cultural and religious conditions in Lithuania, the poem was forgotten. Its second life began in 1997, when the Lithuanian translation of the poem was published together with facsimile reprints. The article discusses possible reasons of the cultural „death“ and „rebirth“ of this work, as well as some peculiarities of Lithuanian culture, which could cause the appearance of this and similar cultural artifacts in modern world.Objektas Bibliotekos redaktorė : [apie Liną Kanopkienę](2006) Railienė, BirutėObjektas Lietuviškos spaudos atgavimo šimtmetis : atmintis ir darbai(2006) Stasiukaitienė, ElenaObjektas Lietuvos mokslininkai monografijose(2006) Railienė, BirutėThe personal portrait of a scholar is still underrepresented in Lithuanian literature. A survey in the Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences was carried out to investigate the situation. The first published works about Lithuanian scholars appeared in 19th century in Polish language. The first book in Lithuanian was published in 1924 in Kaunas. During the period of 1924–2004 Lithuanian scholars were honoured in 124 books. Among them 16 books were published in other countries. Statistical data showed how different sciences were represented in the field of biographical works.Objektas Simono Jakštavičiaus „Spasabas nabazenstwu“ : analogų paieška, lyginimas ir įrišimo rekonstrukcija.(2006) Belokurskaja, TatjanaThe book „ Spasabas nabazenstwu“ was restored in 2004 and was being preserved in the Rare Books Department (holding code: LK-18/38).This book is especially rare – only three copies are known. The binding of the book in the holdings of the Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences was entirely disintegrated. It was difficult to establish the method of book’s binding. Every possible means were tried to restore the authentic binding of this book. The article surveys the provenance of the book, the comparison of the binding of three copies which remained in Lithuania, the process of book’s binding reconstruction. In the process of reconstruction the general means and analogues of binding in the 18th century were referred to in the article, using the data of libraries of Vilnius University and the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore. It facilitated the task of returning the primary appearance to the book.Objektas Lietuvos mokslo institutų publikacijų duomenų bazės kūrimo patirtis(2006) Sasnauskaitė, GiedrėObjektas Nesvyžiaus spaustuvės leidiniai Retų spaudinių skyriaus Lituanikos fonde(2006) Radvilienė, VioletaThe subject of this article are the books, printed in Nesvyžius (Nesvizh) in XVIII century and currently kept in the Lituanica collection of the Rare Books Department. The article discusses the subjects, motives of publication, condition of the copies and proveniences of twenty books. We note that the majority of these publications are of a low polygraphic quality and are printed on inferior paper. We conclude that Nesvyžius printing-house was of limited means, therefore they printed on a paper of better quality and chose decorative vignettes only in special cases. As owners of the books – both libraries and private persons – likewise were not very wealthy, the book bindings were modest. Some of the publications might be of interest to a modern reader.Objektas Keli žodžiai dėl biografijų žodyno „Lietuvos knygos veikėjai“(2006) Kanopkienė, LinaObjektas Knyga apie senąsias Karaliaučiaus bibliotekas(2006) Bikauskienė, DaliaRecenzuojama knyga: Königsberger Buch- und Bibliotheksgeschichte / Hg.
