The relations between the representatives of the Lithuanian society and T. Wróblewski had been
set at the end of the 19th century and lasted until his death. These relations were especially intense at
the time when Lithuania regained its independence. Many times the politicians of the independent
state referred to T. Wróblewski and discussed with him about the political future of Lithuania. These
relations of T. Wróblewski and Lithuania's society can be seen in his activities while defending the
accussed in the political cases. When invited he used to visit the Lithuanian intellectuals of Vilnius,
attended various Lithuanian commemorations and also was voted into the Lithuanian Academic
Association as a corresponding member.
He had allways been maintaining his position that there should be some ways to resolve the
conflict between Lithuania and Poland. T. Wróblewski' affection to Lithuania corresponded to his
attitude and feeling that he was a citizen of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, who had chosen the
defence and protection of those who experienced social offences and injustice as his moral challenge.
